Is Alexa better than Google?
After you connect your smart devices in the Google Home app, you can use the Google Home app to control them. If it’s audio you’re after, both devices are speakers and can play music, podcasts, audiobooks, and any other audio you throw at them.
Google Home also has the advantage of its users being able to give multiple commands at once, which Alexa can’t do. Over time, the gap between the two will continue to slim, but as of now, Google Assistant is still further ahead. Google Home devices are powered by Google Assistant, a voice-activated assistant that can do various tasks, such as providing information about the weather or setting reminders. Suppose you want a Google Home for your kitchen, where you can play music while cooking and working on a new recipe. It may be wise to place your Alexa in your bedroom, where you can set alarms to help you wake up for your workday. To prepare both devices for pairing with a voice command, use "Pair Bluetooth" on both Google Home and Alexa. You’ll then be taken to the Google Home’s settings screen .
However, lots of users who have put the two devices head-to-head believe Google Assistant could be the smarter of the two. Learning experience, and wider variety of voices than Alexa, it has the biggest potential for the future. Having said that, Alexa tends to be better when it comes to support for a wider range of devices, as well as better smart home integration. So if you have a lot of smart home devices already, Alexa might be your best bet.
Set up your Google Nest device

You can use Alexa and Google Home or Google Mini under the same roof. The most straightforward way to connect these devices is to have them all under the same command center, which we'll mention later.
The difference is clear when you listen to the two assistants speak. With the Echo Dot, Alexa's voice is a little tinny-sounding, and music playback not much better than what you'd get from your phone. By comparison, the Home Mini makes the Google Assistant sound warmer and more natural. Music playback was more passable with the Home Mini, too -- though, like the Dot, you really shouldn't plan on using it for anything more than close-range, casual listening.
Use the toggle switch on the right and then hit “Continue”. Tap on “I Heard the Sound” in the bottom-right corner if you heard the Google Home device emit a sound. Open up the app and tap on “Accept” at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
